More Kick Ass!
The red band triler for the upcoming movie Kick Ass has just hit the internet. It focuses on Nicolas Cage's character and more so his daughter Hit-Girl, much like the earlier trailer I posted. It just goes to show that this quite possibly could kick a lot of ass!
For those of you cannot see the awesome potential of this movie due to your inate hatred of Nick Cage, I'm looking at you Dan, here is a trailer that shows that he is not the main character by any means but that this movie merely FEATURES Nicolas Cage.

Introduction 0:00 - 37:36
We start off with a round table discussion about our favorite Christmas movies but, of course, it quickly diverges into an argument about what makes a Christmas movie a Christmas movie.
A Very Special Interlude 37:36 - 39:16
If after listening to this segment your curiosity gets the better of you and you simply must know more...just watch this video and know that all is well in the world.
Christmas Evil - 39:16 - 1:04:26
Our actual review segment this time is a special film that truly brings out the holiday spirit. None of us had ever seen this movie previously and we have all been made better people because of it.
Please let us know your thoughts and how this movie can also make you a better human being this holiday season.
Oh, did we mention the main character is played by Fiona Apple's dad!!
Visit the Online Store to buy the Troma release or the new DIRECTOR'S CUT from Synapse Films!
Closing - 1:04:26 - 1:05:24
From everyone here at The Everyman Critics MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Outtakes 1:05:24 - 1:06:10

Shpadoinkle AHHHHH!!!!!!!
WOW! There sure have been a lot of updates recently, there's even a new podcast episode up exactly one week later! I'll try not to make a habit of this.
Download the new episode here!
Introduction 0:00 - 35:23
First, we do some serious housecleaning. We tackle one of our listener's ridiculous, and tough, questions. Then, our "What's New" segment starts a huge debacle when we review the new movie Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day. Finally, to close the introduction we do something we should have doing all along....we discuss the poll that's up on the website. Of course, in grand tradition, nothing is ever as simple as it should be.
Liar, Liar 35:23 - 45:16
The first review this week is a modern comedy classic, 1997's Liar, Liar starring Jim Carrey. This is such a renowned movie that this is less a review as an all around appraisal of the film, complete with quotes and misqoutes.
Cannibal! The Musical 45:16 - 1:09:00
What more can be said about this movie than we say here? A lot! Musings and ramblings abound when we discuss this milestone in awesomely bad comedies courtesy of Trey Parker and Matt Stone! Seriously, if you don't own or haven't seen this movie and like ANYTHING by the South Park guys you owe it to yourself. Seriously!
Closing 1:09:00 - 1:12:50
After all the hilarity that has ensued, what is the best way to end this episode? Threaten you with another! We tell you to send those emails, leave those comments, and join us next time for John Wayne's The Quiet Man.

YES!!!
While I continue working on editing the newest episode of The Everyman Critics I tend to puruse the web quite a bit.
First, I just want to inform everyone that I AM a Tim Burton fan (long live Pee-Wee's Big Adventure!) and I AM a Johnny Depp fan (totally awesome movies to numerous to list). So, what could possibly be better than a new Tim Burton film or a new Johnny Depp film? A new Tim Burton film starring Johnny Depp!! Yes I know that they are always doing movies together but you know what?, I don't care. I have enjoyed then all (especially the often overlooked masterpiece Ed Wood) and I have been looking forward to their newest collaboration since I first heard about it this past summer.
That brings me to the point of this post.

Kick Ass!!
While perusing some sites I frequent, I discovered this trailer over on suvudu and immediately became giddy inside.
You all know we aren't the biggest Nicolas Cage fans especially in recent years, and Dan absolutely HATES Mr. Cage. But this trailer is more than enough to make me happy and only time will tell if this movie is good or not. At least I have this clip forever!

This Episode Brought to you by the Letter B!
After a ridiculously long delay we come to bring you Episode 2!
Don't forget that if you are interested in any of the films we review simply follow the links provided for immediate access to all the greatness!
(0:00 - 7:50) - Introduction
This episode we actually get into reviewing movies, I know what a concept right!?
First we discuss some of the comment discussions we've had on the site and then fly off the handle a the cultural phenomenon, and sign of the apocalypse, Twilight.
(7:50 - 32:28) - Blue Velvet
What better way to inaugurate a movie review podcast then starting off with David Lynch's Blue Velvet? There really isn't and it shows with all the horrible talk that goes on about fucking, rape, and suave motherfuckers!
(32:28 - 1:02:21) - The Boondock Saints
Immediately after the wonderful horribleness of Blue Velvet we do nothing but quote Boondock Saints. We squeeze in some opinions while we're at it but mostly it's just good friends talking about good times in a good movie.
(1:02:21 - 1:04:31) - Closing
We wrap it up with a preview of things to come, the Jim Carrey classic Liar, Liar and the often overlooked buried treasure Cannibal! The Musical

Questions and concerns requiring fan interaction!
So, I recently read that one of my favorite 80s horror films is in the works to be remade.
I don't know about you but unless they are remaking shitty horror movies, like My Bloody Valentine, these horror remakes are TERRIBLE! Granted I haven't seen all of them but the ones I have seen based off good horror films have been bad.
Now they are wanting to remake Fright Night. If you havent seen this movie you should ashamed! Shameless fun, surprisingly good acting, and and all around great 80s horror/comedy movie!
It just breaks my heart and makes me ashamed to be alive when good movies get remade and the results are disheartening and down right ludicrous. If this movie gets made I still might see it and either be ok with it or hate it! There is no two ways around it with me when it comes to Fright Night.
So...what does everybody think about this? About modern remakes of 80s classics in general?
If you've never seen Fright Night try this on for size...The Karate Kid starring Jackie Chan and Will Smith's kid! If that doesn't strike fear into the hearts of millions I don't know what will!
Comment away fellow movie lovers and let me know what you think!

Episode 1 - Introductions and Shenanigans
Welcome to The Everyman Critics!
Join four friends as we discuss movies and give honest, no bullshit, opinions on them.
This week we introduce ourselves and talk a little about what we look for and enjoy about movies.
Dan has no eyelashes, Garret requires good dialoge, with no luck from us!, I want cheese and explotions and Nolan keeps thanking Regis Philbin for some reason!
